“In Covid-19, 19 refers to 19 points which will apply to any country”, consistent with Zartaj Gul. Unbelievable, we never saw that coming from the Minister of State for global climate change Zartaj Gul Wazir hs left social media in stitches together with her bizarre definition of COVID-19.
While appearing on PTV’s current affairs show, she said that”COVID-19 means it’s 19 points which will be applied in any country in any way”.
We hope WHO wasn’t taking note of this bizarre definition of COVID-19 by our federal minister. COVID-19 actually means ‘Coronavirus disease 2019’. The ‘CO’ within the word stands for corona, ‘VI’ for the virus, and ‘D’ for the disease. Formerly, this disease was mentioned as ‘2019 novel coronavirus’ or ‘2019-nCoV.’
And there was a clarification issued by Zartaj Gul Wazir regarding COVID-19 statement. The federal minister took to Twitter a couple of hours after her video clip from the news program started trending on social media, saying:
“Every day I appear on national TV and speak without a bit of paper (parchi). Wanted to mention that the infections effect and intensity varies across different countries. rather than crying on things over a minor mistake, maybe which will be better for them. i’m not scared of criticism, it strengthens me.”
Wouldnt it’s great if federal minister and other government representatives do a touch little bit of homework before making any public appearance especially if they need to seem before the state on television and embarrass everyone with their fragile knowledge.
It is better to write down valid points during a piece of paper or parchi instead of misguiding public!
