A recent announcement indicates that Qatar could also be hosting back to back international snooker tournaments in Doha this year. the choice was made in a web meeting of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) with President Mubarak Al-Khayarin within the chair.
Qatar has offered to host IBSF World Championships — men’s and women’s events, along side the Masters. along side this, Doha also will be hosting World Under-18 and Under-21 events.
However, both Australia and Russia have an interest in hosting the Junior World Championship next year. Last year, Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif was the IBSF World Snooker Champion. However, since then, COVID-19 pandemic has been rising and that we haven’t been ready to see any new matches for snooker.
