Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday issued directives to release funds for the development of a Mandir (Hindu temple) in Islamabad.
Talking to a gaggle of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers within the National Assembly hailing from the Minority Community in Islamabad, the prime minister said that protecting the rights of minorities and providing them equal opportunities in every walk of life is first priority of the incumbent government.
The prime minister while appreciating the role of Minority Community within the development and prosperity of Pakistan said that we all need to forge unity in our ranks to require the Country forward.
Imran Khan also issued instructions on the protection of minority rights and to expedite the proposed legislation during this regard.
The minority members included Jai Parkash, Shunila Ruth, Lal Chand, Ramesh Kumar, and Jamshed Thomas.
The Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor ul Haq Qadri and Chief Whip of PTI within the National Assembly Amir Dogar were also present within the meeting.
