Little Woods director Nia DaCosta has been signed on to direct the sequel for Captain Marvel. She is understood for her add “Top Boy” and “Candyman”.
DaCosta’s addition to the Marvel team shows their efforts to feature diversity into their movies. she is going to be joining female filmmakers like Chloe Zhao and Cathy Yan, who have both been given huge magazine related projects.
The budget of the film is yet unknown, but it’s likely to be the biggest-budgeted project held by a Black female director.
The story was written by Megan McDonnell, who may be a story editor for the Marvel series WandaVision. Brie Larson will return for the titular role.
