For the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, Pakistan has decided to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh Pilgrims on Saints Peter and Paul . The announcement came on secretary of state (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s Twitter.
The Kartarpur Corrdior had been closed by Pakistan on March 16 thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, and even now, Pakistan is trying to speak with India in order that proper SOPs are often found out for the reopening.
The Kartarpur Corridor was opened in November 2019 by Pakistan PM Imran Khan. The opening of the Corridor was on the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Nanak . the primary Guru of Sikhism, Baba Nanak Saheb, had spent the last 18 years of his life in Kartarpur.
Pakistan’s ministry considers Kartarpur Corridor a logo of peace and non secular harmony. This Corridor fulfilled the dreams of the many international members of the Sikh Community, and is appreciated by them highly.
