Government to begin refunding Hajj 2020 charges from Thursday

Saudi Arabia had announced it might hold Hajj 2020 with a “very limited number” of pilgrims residing within the country. The Ministry of spiritual Affairs and Interfaith Harmony made an announcement on Saturday that the govt will start refunding Hajj charges to all or any applicants for this year from Thursday,

The decision has been taken in light of the Saudi government’s decision to carry a limited Hajj this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, consistent with the Ministry’s spokesperson.

The spokesperson said the amounts deposited by hopeful pilgrims are going to be refunded through scheduled banks across the country and every one applicants are being informed via SMS.

According to the spokesperson, “Applicants should are available person to receive the quantity in cash, while group leaders should come to the bank with all original documents of group members just in case of receiving through cheque”.

Applicants can contact Accounts Officer Refund at 051-9208465 just in case of any difficulty within the refund process, the spokesperson further added.
