Gaming Community To Stage Dharna At D-Chowk To Unban PUBG In Pakistan

Recently, Player Unknown’s Battle Ground, also referred to as PUBG was banned by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) as they claimed to possess received a couple of complaints from various sections of society. Though it had been highlighted that it’s a short lived suspension, nothing has been done regarding the restoration of the sport .

On July 1, the PTA suspended PUBG after receiving complaints from different segments of society. “PTA has received numerous complaints against PUBG wherein it’s stated that the sport is addictive, waste of your time and poses a significant negative impact on the physical and psychological health of the youngsters ,” a press release by the authority said.

If religious ideology, morality and waste of your time are the yardsticks to ban one game, then the Imran Khan’s government might also pack up the whole digital space.
